USMC CFT Calculator (MCO 6100.13A Tables)
Enter your age, sex, movement to contact time, ammunition lifts, and maneuver under fire time with your grenade result. The calculator applies the grenade adjustment, scores each event from the MCO 6100.13A tables, and shows your total and class.
Enter your details above to see the result.
Calculated per: MCO 6100.13A W/ADMIN CH-5, effective May 28, 2025.
Unofficial estimate. Your score of record is in your service's system.
What the three CFT events measure
The Combat Fitness Test has three events, always run in the same order: movement to contact, an 880-yard timed run; the ammunition lift, overhead lifts of a 30-pound can for two minutes; and maneuver under fire, a 300-yard shuttle with crawls, a drag, a carry, an ammunition resupply, and a grenade throw.
All three events are held in one session of no more than two hours, with at least five minutes of rest between them. Running the movement to contact on a treadmill is not authorized.
Passing scores and CFT classes
Each event is scored from 0 to 100 points on tables for your sex and age group, for a total out of 300. You need at least 150 to pass, and missing the minimum in any one event fails the whole test, whatever your total.
| Class | Total points |
|---|---|
| 1st class | 235–300 |
| 2nd class | 200–234 |
| 3rd class | 150–199 |

The minimum in each event earns 40 points, so three minimums add up to 120. The order requires extra points in at least one event to reach a third-class score.
Minimum results by age group
Table 3-1 of MCO 6100.13A sets the slowest time or lowest repetition count that still scores in each event. The table below lists those minimums for both sexes and every age group, so you can see the floor before you open the calculator.
| Age group | Movement to contact | Ammunition lift | Maneuver under fire | |||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| M | F | M | F | M | F | |
| 17–20 | 3:45 | 4:36 | 62 | 30 | 3:17 | 4:53 |
| 21–25 | 3:45 | 4:41 | 67 | 30 | 3:18 | 4:34 |
| 26–30 | 3:48 | 4:45 | 67 | 30 | 3:22 | 4:40 |
| 31–35 | 3:51 | 4:46 | 67 | 30 | 3:30 | 4:44 |
| 36–40 | 3:58 | 4:55 | 67 | 30 | 3:42 | 4:56 |

The ammunition lift minimum drops sharply at 51 and older: 16 lifts for men and 6 for women, compared with 65 and 26 for the 46–50 group.
How the grenade throw changes your MANUF time
The grenade throw is scored inside the maneuver under fire. MCO 6100.13A deducts five seconds from your overall MANUF time for a hit and adds five seconds for a miss. A throw that lands in the pit and rolls out still counts as a hit.
The order gives the example of a 2:42 with a hit, which is recorded as 2:37. Enter your stopwatch time and the grenade result, and the calculator makes the same adjustment before it looks up your points.
CFT scoring at or above 4,500 feet
Units at 4,500 feet or more above sea level score the movement to contact on Table 3-6 and the maneuver under fire on Table 3-7. The ammunition lift has no altitude table, so it is scored the same way at any elevation.
Commands must give Marines a 30-day acclimatization period before a CFT at altitude. Check the altitude box only if your test is held at that elevation.
Two places where the printed tables disagree
In the maneuver under fire tables for women aged 36 to 40 and 41 to 45, the scoring rows give 100 points one second slower than the time printed in the Max row above them. This happens at sea level and at altitude. The calculator follows the scoring rows.
In Table 3-7, the female 31–35 column stops at the printed minimum of 4:52, then lists a second run of scores, from 56 down to 40, between 5:06 and 5:52. Those cells contradict the printed minimum and would raise scores for slower times, so the calculator does not use them.
Combat arms Marines and the CFT
MARADMIN 613/25 moved combat arms Marines onto the male tables with a 210-point minimum, but only for the PFT. The message does not change CFT scoring, so every Marine, including those in combat arms PMOSs, is still scored on the CFT tables for their own sex and age group.
The PFT side of that change is covered in the USMC PFT calculator, which scores your PFT on both tables at once.
When the CFT is due
The CFT is an annual requirement for active and reserve Marines, held between 1 July and 31 December each year. Recruits are scored on the 17–20 tables regardless of age. For reservists, a completed CFT stays valid for promotion for two years if operations prevent annual testing.
Marines must also complete a CFT in the annual period before their end of active service or retirement date, and a final physical examination does not exempt them from it.
